DP Ruto congratulates Rigathi Gachagua after deputy presidential debate

Deputy President William Ruto has lauded his running mate Rigathi Gachagua’s performance at the Deputy Presidential Debate on Tuesday night.

Taking to social media, the Kenya Kwanza flag bearer appreciated Gachagua saying he had proved to Kenyans his capability to hold the second office in the land come August.

“Congratulations Rigathi Gachagua my very able running mate. Kenyans are confident that in you we have a seasoned, passionate and focused leader to help us steer Kenya Kwanza to victory and the nation to prosperity,” Ruto wrote on Twitter.

“We thank Almighty God na ubarikiwe saaana. Never mind the media.”

In the debate held at Catholic Universit of Eastern Africa on Tuesday night, Gachagua faced off with Azimio la Umoja One Kenya deputy president candidate Martha Karua.

Roots Party candidate Justina Wamae likewise encountered Agano party’s Ruth Mucheru Mutua.
