Drama at the Supreme Court as Wetangula’s bodyguard is disarmed
There was drama at the Supreme Court of Kenya on Monday after Bungoma Senator-elect Moses Wetangula’s bodyguard was barred from accessing the court’s precincts by police officers.
The senator, who was in company of NASA presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, and Homa Bay Women Representative-elect, Gladys Wanga, was angered by the officers who refused to open the gates for his bodyguard because he was armed.
A visibly irked Odinga questioned the officers demanding to know why co-principal’s bodyguard was being denied access to the Supreme Court building.
“This is not any place. This is the High court and I am the one to decide who should come with me in the court,” argued Odinga.
Here is what ensued…
At last the police were able to disarm the bodyguard. Security experts argue that the bodyguard is likely to face disciplinary action for ‘disobeying his bosses’.
