The authority, on the 14th of every month, announces any changes at the pump be it a rise, drop, or stagnancy in prices.
Government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura has however intimated that the prices are set to drop.
"This will go a long way in reducing the cost of living in the country for hustlers and Kenyans at large," he wrote on X Sunday morning.
In its February review, EPRA announced a reduction by Ksh. 1, bringing the new prices for Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene at Ksh.206.36, Ksh.195.47, and Ksh. 193.23, respectively.
The decrease in fuel prices was attributed to a decline in the landed costs of Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene.
At the time, the authority stated that the average landed cost of imported Super Petrol fell by 1.71%, from US$677.78 per cubic metre in December 2023 to US$666.16 per cubic metre in January 2024.
Diesel saw a decrease of 3.08%, from US$751.15 per cubic meter to US$728.03 per cubic meter, while Kerosene decreased by 1.17%, from US$727.00 per cubic meter to US$718.51 per cubic meter.
EPRA also stated that the price of diesel was been cross-subsidized with that of super petrol, while the price of kerosene was fully stabilised.
