The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has launched a modern interview facility aimed at strengthening investigations and boosting the fight against corruption.

The state-of-the-art facility was developed with technical and financial support from the FBI, the United States Embassy, and the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).

Speaking during the unveiling, EACC Chief Executive Officer Abdi Mohamud said lauded the collaborations and thanked the partners, saying the facility marks a major step in the modernisation of the commission’s investigative processes.

Mohamud also thanked the partners for their continued support in promoting ethics, transparency, accountability, and good governance.

United States Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Susan Burns on her part, said the facility will directly enhance the commission’s ability to conduct professional and effective investigations.

“She underscored that the fight against corruption remains a fundamental pillar of effective law enforcement,” EACC head of Corporate Communications Stephen Karuga said in a statement.

Likewise, INL Director Maureen Mimnaugh reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to continued collaboration with the commission, noting that Kenya’s long-term prosperity is closely linked to the successful delivery of EACC’s mandate.
