 Bungoma: Eight students arrested over attempt to burn school dormitory

Eight students from Bishop Atundo Boys High School in Kimaeti, Bungoma County, have been arrested over an attempt to burn the school dormitory.

In a report to the police, the school's principal Francis Nasila the eight suspects are alleged to have planned the felony on Friday night.

Police officers from Myanga police station and officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) visited the school for investigations and observed that the dormitory was smeared with petrol.

A two litre of empty plastic bottle smelling of petrol and a matchbox were recovered at the dormitory.

The eight suspects will be arraigned in court on Monday.
