Elgeyo Marakwet Invests in Coffee Farming

Soi South Agricultural officer, James Cheruiyot , said that farmers have started planting the crop in the area, with the county producing 44 tonnes of coffee through farmers unions that have been started.
The county has managed to buy a processing machine worth Sh1.5 million through coffee sales.
James added that they were looking forward to planting 51 hectares of coffee every year despite the challenges they are facing, and are expecting high returns.
