The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) candidate in the Suba South Member of Parliament race Caroli Omondi, a former aide of the party boss Raila Odinga, has emerged the winner.

Caroli was on Wednesday declared the victor by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), thereby replacing the outgoing legislator and ODM National Chairman John Mbadi.

He garnered a total of 25,036 votes across the four wards, beating out his closest competitor, independent candidate Stephen Sangira, who managed 13,238 votes.

Other aspirants who sought the seat received the following votes: Omedo Misama (88), Julius Opala (114), Jared Abich (75), and Aloyo Odongo (50).
