‘Fake’ aviation company boss to testify against employees

The CEO of Baracuda Airways Holdings Limited, Kimeria Boddie Maina, will now testify against his employees.

This is after the prosecution asked the court to drop the intended criminal charges pressed against him arguing that he will be used as a prosecution witness in the case.

Senior Principal Magistrate, Kenneth Cheruiyot, allowed the application to have Maina be a prosecution witness in the case and directed that the case against the CEO be closed.

The court further ordered that the cash bail to be respondent.

According to the prosecution, the evidence adduced is not enough to press charges on him.

The other employees of the aviation company were accused of receiving Ksh 9.7 million from job seekers.

It is alleged that the allegedly cheated job seekers that they would take the for training as pilots and cabin crew in South Africa and Dubai.

The four are John Odhiambo Majiwa, Elizabeth Wanjiku Kinyanjui , Stella Ivy Amya and Barabara Modani Alwena who are out on a cash bail Ksh 100,000 each.
