Man kills daughter, hangs self in Bomet

A 25-year-old-man allegedly killed his 3-year-old daughter before committing suicide on Friday at Saseta area in Bomet County.

Confirming the incident, Konoin Sub-County police boss Tom Achiya, revealed that Titus Rono allegedly killed his daughter in a tea plantation, just a kilometre from his residence, before his body was found dangling a few metres away from the original crime scene.

Rono's wife is said to have escaped death by a whisker after noticing that her husband was acting strangely. 

According to area chief Emmy Ng'etich, Rono had allegedly threatened to kill his wife following a domestic row. Efforts to arrest the suspect never materialised.
