The High Court has ruled that Ksh.102 million gifted to college student Felista Nyamathira Njoroge by her Belgian boyfriend be forfeited to the state.
Judge Esther Maina in her ruling, established that the money, which is held in two bank accounts belonging to Ms Nyamathira are proceeds of crime.
She said the source of the money from billionaire Marc De Mesel had not been explained, and the crypto personality failed to show how he earned the money.
In November 2021, the court allowed the Assets Recovery Agency (ARA) to freeze the mysterious Ksh.102 million that was wired to the university student in August.
