A female Chinese tourist, 45, was stabbed to death on Monday night by her fellow citizen Lee Changqing after a quarrel ensued over sitting space during dinner at Keekorok Lodge in Maasai Mara National Park.

The middle aged woman identified as Luo Jinli was in the company of her husband Dong Ya Ppno who was seriously injured after the attacker, a tour guide, set upon them.

While confirming the incident, Narok County Police boss Abdi Galgalo said Mr Ppno has been arrested and he is currently being held at Narok Police Station before being arraigned in court.

Dong, 47, was rushed to Nairobi Hospital where he is receiving treatment.

The body of Ms Jinli was moved to Tekenani Health Centre mortuary.
