Form two student shot as he responds to neighbour’s cry

A form two student at Kiaga Secondary School in Kirinyaga County is nursing gunshot wounds after being shot in the chest by armed robbers.

16-year-old Joseph Kariuki was responding to cries from a neighbour who owns a retail outlet at Kimicha Trading Centre who had been attacked by the robbers.

He was however shot as he fled from the scene after realizing that one of the robbers had a gun.

Among those who visited the student at the hospital was Kirinyaga Central MP Joseph Gachoki.

The student is currently admitted at Kerugoya Level Four Hospital.
