Former Governor Wycliffe Oparanya arrested - Raila says

Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party Leader Raila Odinga says former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has been arrested.

Addressing the media on Thursday afternoon, Odinga indicated that Oparanya had been arrested in connection with the anti-government protests led by the opposition on Wednesday.

Oparanya was among the Azimio leaders who were leading the anti-government protests in the Western region.

Meanwhile, Azimio has announced that its anti-government protests will resume countrywide on Wednesday next week.

Addressing the press on Thursday afternoon, the coalition vowed not to relent in its quest to push the government to lower the cost of living.
