Former KRA manager fined Ksh.50,000 for requesting Ksh.10K bribe

A former manager at the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) was on Wednesday found guilty of soliciting and receiving a bribe.
The court heard that Charles Adams Otiso requested a bribe of Ksh.10,000 and received Ksh.7,000.
The bribe was reportedly meant for facilitating issuance of a tax compliance certificate.
The matter was resolved through a plea bargain and the suspect was fined Ksh.50,000.
