Four people killed after car collides head-on with trailer on Nakuru-Eldoret highway

Four people died on the spot after the car they were travelling in collided with a trailer in Kerita area along the Eldoret-Nakuru highway, Uasin Gishu County, on Friday morning.

The car that was travelling from Nakuru to Eldoret is said to have been recklessly overtaking other vehicles on the road before the head-on collision with the trailer that was bound for Nakuru.

Confirming the accident, Uasin Gishu County Police Commander Ayub Gitonga said the bodies of the deceased have since been taken to the Eldoret Referral and Training Hospital mortuary.

The police boss called on drivers to be cautious and remain vigilant on the road to avoid such accidents especially during this festive season.
