Four people killed, seven injured in accident on Kendu Bay-Kisumu road

Four people lost their lives on Tuesday while seven others sustained serious injuries following a grisly accident at Kogweno area on the Kendu Bay-Kisumu road.

The deceased, all pedestrians, were killed in a collision between a private vehicle and a motorcycle.

One individual died on the spot while the other three passed away while receiving treatment at Miriu Health Center.

Eye witness reports say that the vehicle, which was en route Kisumu from Kendu Bay, rammed the motorcycle before veering off the road and running over the pedestrians.

Confirming the incident, Rachuonyo North sub-county Police Commander Lydia Parteiyie told Citizen Digital that the survivors, all in critical condition, are recuperating at the Homa Bay County Teaching and Referral Hospital.
