Speaking during his tour of Kiambu County on Saturday, March 4, President Kenyatta said that the Jubilee Party is ready for the election that will be held in six months.

The Head of State, in his address, in a new strategic campaign dubbed Nane Nane, Tuko Tayari – aimed at showing the Jubilee party’s preparedness, said that his party is ready for the election that will be held on the eighth day of the eighth month of the year.

He said that the idea behind Nane Nane was informed by the electoral dates and the close association Kenyans have with the infamous Saba Saba, a historic day in Kenya’s calendar.

President Kenyatta said that the opposition has been laying a foundation for rejecting the August elections with its numerous castigation of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and its commissioners.
