Fuel prices go up in new ERC price review

The Energy Regulatory Commission of Kenya on Tuesday reviewed fuel prices effective from the 15th of July to the 14th of August.
A litre of super petrol has increased by Sh1.31 to retail at Sh98.59 in Nairobi, while diesel has gone up by Sh1.25 to Sh84.56.
The cost of kerosene has also increased marginally by 96 cents to sell at Sh62.74 a litre.
According to ERC Director General Joseph Ng’ang’a, the increase came about as a result of the continued weakening of the shilling against the US dollar in the month of June.
Ng’ang’a further announced that the prices would take effect across the country with major towns as follows:
Retail pump prices for Mombasa will be; Super Petrol at Sh95.27, Diesel at Sh81.27 and Kerosene at Sh60.00.
Retail pump prices for Kisumu will be; Super Petrol at Sh100.51, Diesel at SH86.68 and Kerosene at SH64.59.
Retail Pump Prices for Eldoret will be; Super Petrol at Sh100.44, Diesel at Ksh. 86.62 and Kerosene at Sh64.60.
Retail Pump Prices for Nakuru will be; Super Petrol at Sh99.30, Diesel at Sh85.47and Kerosene at Sh63.57
