Garissa OCS Michael Munyalo charged with murder

Garissa OCS Michael Munyalo has been charged with murder.

Munyalo was arraigned at the Garissa High Court and charged that on May 16 this year he shot and killed Morris Kimathi,  a carpenter, in DRC area along Bula Sheikh Road.

Appearing before justice Abida Aroni the accused pleaded not guilty.

He was released on a bond of Ksh.1 million with a surety of a similar amount.

According to eyewitnesses, the deceased, Kimathi aged 28, was shot in the back as he crossed the road, just moments after an altercation with Mr. Munyalo at a bar.

The hearing of the case will continue on October 7.
