Gatundu MP Agrees To Apologize Over Hate Messages

Kuria today, Monday, appeared before the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) and the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) over the remarks that linked terrorism to a certain community.

The MP was summoned to the commission’s offices for a reconciliation meeting following a decision by a Nairobi court to give him a chance to have the matter settled out of court.

In the meeting, Kuria said he would put out an ad in two local dailies as well as use other forums to apologise to the community and Kenyans in general.

The outcome of the meeting will be presented to the court for further directions.
