Governor hopefuls presenting nomination papers to IEBC

Gubernatorial seats aspirants across the country are presenting their nomination papers to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for clearance.

Nairobi Governor, Dr Evans Kidero, presented his nomination papers to the electoral body at 11:00 am at the Kasarani Stadium, before holding a rally at Baba Dogo.

Jubilee candidate and Nairobi Senator, Mike Sonko, is expected at Kasarani later in the afternoon.

In North Rift, more than 20 aspirants will be seeking clearance from the IEBC, with political duels expected in the counties.

The aspirants will present their papers in Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Trans Nzoia, West Pokot, Turkana, Elgeyo Marakwet and Baringo.

In Kilifi, Governor Amason Kingi will present his nomination papers at Kilifi IEBC offices for clearance and later hold a rally at Kilifi Water grounds.
