Governor Ojaamong rubbishes claims of joining DP Ruto’s camp

Busia County Governor Sospeter Ojaamong has refuted claims that he has joined Deputy President William Ruto’s political camp.

Speaking at St. Mark Bukiri Secondary School in Funyula constituency, Ojaamong said the recent visit by DP Ruto to the region should not be misinterpreted.

The county boss insisted that he shares the same friendship with Ruto just as he does with President Uhuru Kenyatta, opposition leader Raila Odinga among other leaders.

Ojamoong challenged leaders to shun petty politics and instead focus on politics of development.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta is my friend, Raila Odinga is my friend, Ruto is my friend, Eugene Wamalwa is my friend,” said the governor.

“All these Cabinet Secretaries are my juniors in terms of politics, if they come here should I chase them away? Let people stop politicking, the time for politics will come.”
