Govt intentionally delaying replacement of IEBC commissioners Mudavadi

Amani leader Musalia Mudavadi has accused the Jubilee Government of intentionally delaying the recruitment of new Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Commissioners.

Mudavadi claims that it is a ploy to ensure the current IEBC Commissioners are retained to oversee the 2017 General Election.

“We have to be extremely vigilant as Kenyans because they are delaying the process. Do not be surprised if you hear they want to hold a referendum to push the election dates forward. But I want to say that you cannot delay the inevitable,” said Mudavadi.

Speaking during a funeral at Lusengeli Primary School, Mudavadi also turned down Deputy President William Ruto’s partnership offer, saying that he will campaign against the Jubilee government in 2017.

“Bwana Ruto, my target is to make sure that we remove you from power, plain and simple,” stated Mudavadi.

Mudavadi has also criticized North Rift leaders who opposed the appointment of Prof Laban Ayiro to act as Moi University Vice Chancellor.
