Gov’t To Build Security Wall In Wajir

Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery now says that the government will start constructing a wall stretching several miles in parts of Wajir County and Mandera County to seal a section of the Kenya- Somalia border.  The move is part of a raft of security measures that are being implemented by the government to secure the country's porous border with war-torn Somalia. Nkaissery says that the wall that will be built in Wajir and Bula Hawa starting Monday will help control the entry of Somali nationals to Kenya. The Interior CS also says that police recruitment in the country will commence in April this year.
