Head teacher impregnates a class eight student

Police are hunting for Lungusi Academy’s head teacher, Samuel Mafasu Kongoni, after he was caught defiling a 12-year-old in the staffroom on Saturday.

Kongoni went into hiding after he was caught performing the heinous act by angry neighbours who saw him lock the class 8 pupil in the staffroom while they were harvesting maize nearby.

Eyewitnesses say the head teacher escaped through the window, making away on a boda boda.

Following a medical exam at Webuye Hospital, doctors found that the 12-year-old was one month pregnant.

The young girl reported that the head teacher has been sexually abusing her since January.

Speaking after the incident, the mother of the girl said that she was not aware of the sexual abuse. She went on to say that when the Saturday morning incident took place, she thought her daughter had been sent to purchase airtime.

Bungoma Women Representative Reginalada Wanyonyi said that the head teacher’s act was intolerable, especially since the county has been working to reduce child pregnancies.

She called on the area police officers to hasten their manhunt, adding that Kongoni should face the full force of the law.
