Head teachers conference kicks off in Mombasa

Secondary School head teachers from across the country are converging in Mombasa County for a five-day conference.

The at least 7,000 head teachers are expected to discuss the proposed schools’ curriculum reforms.

Speaking ahead of the conference, the association national chairman, John Awiti, backed the proposed changes in the schools’ curriculum.

Awiti also stated that the meeting will discuss how to tame exam cheating in the country.

The government has mandated a team of experts to design a new curriculum set to introduce proposed radical changes in the 8-4-4 system of education.
