How to get 50% bonus Safaricom airtime

Safaricom on Wednesday announced that users will now get a bonus for calling and SMS every time they purchase airtime.

This as part of the telco’s new initiative dubbed ‘Simple, Transparent and Honest.’

“Talk and talk some more with a voice plan that does not expire. You also have the freedom to choose how much you would like to spend on talk time,” a statement from Safaricom reads.

To activate the new plan:

• Dial *544# on your handset
• Select Voice from the menu
• Enter the amount you wish to spend
• Select your preferred mode of payment (airtime or M-PESA)
• You will receive a message with details of your purchase

Safaricom states that the voice plan is available to all subscribers, however, they cannot transfer their voice plan or use it to make international calls.
