Investments, Trade and Industry Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has highlighted
his accomplishments in the docket as he readies himself to officially assume
his new role in the Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management
ministry.
In a statement on

at the Trade docket with the caption ‘Veni, Vidi, Vici,’ a Latin phrase which
translates to ‘I came, I saw, I conquered.’
Kuria says that
during his 11 months and 6 days tenure as Trade CS, he implemented the exports
and promotion levy to discourage unnecessary imports and introduced a pipeline
of 26 mega deals from the Gulf region and Indonesia.
He likewise
underscored that he successfully negotiated an investment of Ksh.450 billion
from Afriexim Bank in E-Mobility, Special Economic Zones and Export Processing
Zones, as well as finalising an economic partnership agreement with the
European Union.
The controversial
CS also added to his list of achievements industrial parks launched in 13 counties
perceived as the opposition Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition strongholds,
and others in three Kenya Kwanza counties.
The rest of the achievements

on Thursday brushed off critics claiming that his redeployment from the Trade ministry to the Public Service docket by President William Ruto was a
demotion.
Speaking during
the launch of Garissa Industrial Park, Kuria, in typical fashion, unleashed a
no-holds-barred attack on persons he described as “enemies” who are celebrating this move.
The CS instead
maintained that he is ready to serve in his new docket which he says has the
mandate to ensure service delivery to Kenyans by all other ministries.
Kuria went on to
mock his so-called enemies, saying they would soon be baffled by his
outstanding performance so much so that they would return to the President to
ask for his redeployment again.
