Taking to social media as soon as the Meru County Assembly unanimously impeached Mwangaza on Wednesday evening, Kuria said; "I stand with Governor Kawira Mwangaza."
"This is an evil scheme by someone who thinks that the only way to be a Mt Kenya Kingpin is to bring down other leaders not to solve the problems of our people who are getting desperate by the day. History will vindicate me," Kuria added in a post on his X account.
While Kuria did not mention the politician he was referring to, Kenyans online alluded that he was taking a swipe at Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua with whom they have previously publicly disagreed.
Kenyans online revived his previous reaction when he (Kuria) shared a photo of DP Gachagua on his X account as a reaction to his removal from the influential Investments, Trade and Industry Ministry.
All 59 MCAs who were present in the House on Wednesday evening voted in support of the motion to remove Mwangaza from office. Ten MCAs were absent.
The first-term Governor, who was elected on an independent ticket, is accused of misuse of public funds, gross misconduct, contempt of the county assembly and court among other charges..
Earlier on Wednesday, the Court of Appeal in Nyeri declined to stop the Meru County Assembly from debating Governor Kawira Mwangaza's ouster motion.
