‘I want to rehabilitate Kenya,’ Ex-CJ Maraga says, urging Kenyans to register as voters

Speaking in various towns in Kirinyaga, Maraga lamented that Kenya is a rich country plagued by the theft of public funds.

"Kenya is a very rich country, but the problem is theft of public funds," Maraga said. "You have heard that Ksh.50 billion has been stolen through the Social Health Authority (SHA). Are we going to allow this to continue? We are told one woman is giving birth to 10 children per year - is that not a scam?" he asked residents of Ngurubani.

Maraga urged Kirinyaga residents to take ownership of the country, saying, "I want to rehabilitate this country and bring it back to the Kenyans." He emphasized the importance of voting out the current government, which he described as corrupt.

"If the government was not corrupt, hospitals would have drugs, and all children would be in school. Are there drugs in your hospitals in Kirinyaga? Are all children in school?" Maraga asked.

Maraga added that if elected, he will stop the ongoing corruption in the country. 

"The election will be a defining moment in the history of our country. Please, people of Kirinyaga, register as voters so that you can vote next year and vote out this corrupt government," he said, urging residents to participate in the electoral process to bring about change.
