IEBC should deal with primaries chaos – Clergy

The Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops has urged political parties to conduct peaceful, free and fair nominations.

KCCB Chairman, Bishop Philip Anyolo, said the ongoing primaries have turned violent in the recent past, urging electoral body IEBC to deal firmly with those engaging in electoral malpractices.

The members of the clergy also warned that the country could be plunged into election violence, expressing concern over the endless chaos witnessed in the party primaries.

They also urged youth in the country to uphold their dignity and avoid being misused by politicians to fuel violence, calling on all Kenyans to elect leaders who have their best interests at heart.
