Igathe concedes defeat in Nairobi Governor race

Nairobi governor candidate Polycarp Igathe has conceded defeat in the race for Nairobi Governor.
Igathe who was vying under a Jubilee ticket conceded defeat to Johnson Sakaja of UDA party.
Sakaja garnered a total of 699,392 votes while Igathe raked in 573,516 votes.
Taking to social media on Sunday, Igathe lauded Sakaja for his victory, and further thanked his supporters for backing his bid.
"I accept the decision of the people of Nairobi and thank all our supporters. The Governor of Nairobi is His Excellency Johnson Sakaja. Congratulations! God bless Kenya," he wrote on Twitter.
