Lawyer
Miguna Miguna on Wednesday announced that he was jetting out of the country for
London, United Kingdom, but failed to divulge the purpose of his trip.
The
trip comes just a month after the outspoken advocate
arrived back in Kenya from Canada where he had been living in exile.
Taking
to his official Twitter account, Miguna shared photos of himself looking
cheerful, as he posed alongside two Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)
employees.
He wrote: “To London, with love. I’ll be back soon! Viva!”
In typical fashion, Kenyans on Twitter were quick to offer
their two cents on Miguna's unexpected trip abroad with many intimating that
the lawyer was 'fleeing’ after failing to 'liberate' Kenya as he had claimed he
would when he returned from exile.
Following
the mixed reactions, Miguna took back to the social networking site to defend
his right to travel in and out of the country at will.
He
wrote: “President William
Ruto is in South Korea on a state visit. He has travelled out of Kenya more
than 15 times since his inauguration. Please Kenyans, allow General Miguna Miguna to exercise
his rights and travel out and into the country whenever necessary. Freedom is
here! Viva!”
