Illicit Brew Death Toll Continues To Rise

The Makueni County Referral Hospital is seriously congested after over 60 victims of the killer brew were rushed to the facility. The hospital management has had to transfer some of the victims to ill-equipped dispensaries. In Embu, an Officer commanding police station (OCS), an Administration Police boss and a chief and his assistant are among officers sacked as the Government extends personal responsibility for the sale of illicit liqueur within their jurisdictions.
