‘I’m returning home!’ Miguna Miguna says he’s flying to Kenya next month
Lawyer
Miguna Miguna has officially announced that he will be returning to Kenya next
month after almost half a decade in exile.
Miguna
had on Thursday initially said he would depart Canada on October 25 and land at
the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on the night of Tuesday, October
25, 2022.
He
on Friday however announced a change of plans, saying he would now arrive in
Kenya on October 20, 2022 at 6am.
This
change, he said, was occasioned by massive requests from his followers online.
“…fellow Kenyans. I'll see if I can change my
arrival time to morning. I didn't realize it was going to be such a huge issue.
But because hundreds of you have made it an issue, I'll try and accommodate
you. Except that you won't pay for the change of my flight details,” he
stated.
The
announcement comes two days after he finally received a new passport, commending President William Ruto for
reportedly intervening.
Miguna
was deported to Canada in 2018 after participating in the mock swearing-in
of opposition leader Raila Odinga as the
‘People's President’ at Uhuru Park.
ARRIVAL DATE & TIME HAVE BEEN CHANGED BY POPULAR DEMAND.
Arrival: October 20, 2022 at 6.00 AM.
See you at the JKIA, Patriots.— Dr. Miguna Miguna (@MigunaMiguna) September 23, 2022
