In Pictures: Inside The Nairobi Festival
Audio By Vocalize
The week-long festival was announced by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja as a fun-filled fair to be held every December to display and celebrate the “vibe of the city”.
It brings together food, the arts, matatu art awards, as well as exhibitions on designated city streets.
Photos from the first day showed event-goers, mostly the youth and young families, trooping into the park to get an experience of the inaugural festival.
Amid the tight security seen patrolling the location, Nairobians were treated to music, food, leisure and recreational activities.
