The National Alliance (TNA) held its final delegates conference on Thursday in a grandeur event that was juiced by performances from two big names in the gospel industry – Kenya’s Gloria Muliro and Solomon Mkubwa from Tanzania.
Political leaders allied to TNA including members of the national assembly, senators, governors, sitting and former Cabinet Secretaries were in attendance as the party, formed five years ago, wound up to form Jubilee Party.
The Safaricom Indoor Arena was painted red as delegates in t-shirts and/or TNA caps occupied their designated spaces to be part of the ratification of a notice to dissolve.
Speakers, one after the other, hailed TNA delegates for standing by the party in its life span and called on them to support the newly-formed Jubilee Party.
TNA is among 13 parties that have merged to join Jubilee. They are URP, Tip Tip, APK, UPK, UDF, New Ford Kenya, Ford People, Republican Congress Party of Kenya, Saba Saba Asili, UDF, PNU and Chama Cha Mwananchi under the leadership of seasoned politician Koigi wa Wamwere.
