Joho, police in verbal altercation over President’s event

Mombasa Governor, Ali Hassan Joho, on Monday, March 13 involved in a verbal altercation with police officers after they denied him access to Mtongwe ferry where President Uhuru Kenyatta was holding a function.

Joho was denied access to the venue with reports indicating that he was being barred from the events so as not to interfere with the President’s event.

The Governor accused the police and the Jubilee administration of harassment saying that he has a right to attend any function in Mombasa as he is the people’s representative.

Joho was detained in his office and ordered not to leave until the Head of State’s function is over.
