Jubilee slams gov't over education budget cuts

Speaking during a grassroots meeting in Embu County, Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni condemned the reduction of school funding, removal of national exam fees, and scrapping of student health insurance, calling the measures harsh and insensitive to struggling families.
“These drastic funding cuts will push many children out of school, especially those from low-income families. It’s a direct assault on the right to education,” Kioni said, calling the measures insensitive to the economic hardships ordinary Kenyans are currently facing," Kioni stated.
Further, Kioni appealed to Kenyans to support Jubilee’s 2027 presidential candidate, Dr. Fred Matiang’i.
“Matiang’i understands the system and has always delivered results. He is the kind of leadership Kenya desperately needs to get back on track,” he added.
