Juja Member of Parliament (MP) George Koimburi has been found dumped at a coffee plantation in Kiambu County.

The legislator's family has confirmed that he is currently being treated at Plainsview Hospital  near Ruiru town.

Koimburi was reportedly captured by unknown individuals outside a church in Mugutha, Kiambu County, on Sunday, and his wife, Ann Koimburi, was injured during the scuffle.

Video footage of the incident shows the MP being driven away in a silver Subaru Forester bearing civilian registration plates.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has denied any involvement in the abduction, though it confirmed that Koimburi has been sought since Friday in connection with alleged land fraud and misuse of Constituency Development Funds (CDF).

Mrs. Koimburi expressed frustration over the situation, noting previous occasions when authorities took her husband’s phone and vehicle during investigations but failed to provide clarity on his whereabouts.
