Kabogo: Gachagua is a dictator, he shouldn't be DP Ruto's running mate

Wakenya party leader William Kabogo is now accusing Deputy President William Ruto's running mate Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua of being a dictator, claiming he is unfit to
deputise the Kenya Kwanza frontman's presidency bid.
Speaking at a rally on Thursday, Kabogo noted that he was strongly opposed to Gachagua being handed the running mate slot on grounds that the Mathira legislator is an abrasive autocrat who will probably rule with an iron fist should DP Ruto occupy the house on the hill after the August polls.
"Kesho Gachagua atakuja hapa na kabla achaguliwe na William Ruto mimi nilipinga," the former Kiambu governor said in his address.
Should DP Ruto win the presidency seat and fail to carry out his state responsibilities for whatever reasons, Kabogo is of the opinion that Kenya would be in a perilous position if Gachagua was to become acting president.
"William Ruto akishindwa na kazi ati Rigathe atakuwa president?" Kabogo quipped.
According to Kabogo, Gachagua's alleged tyrant-like style of leadership will cost DP Ruto precious votes once Kenyans take to the ballot.
Kabogo went on allege that Gachagua was the mastermind behind a number of chaotic scenes that have marred Kenya Kwanza rallies of late where Mt. Kenya hailing affiliate parties under the Kenya Kwanza umbrella have apparently played second fiddle to their United Democratic Alliance (UDA) counterparts when it comes to addressing Kenyans on the campaign trail.
"Maneno ya sisi na UDA imeanza kusambaratika kwa sababu yule jamaa ni dictator. Mimi ndiye de-facto leader ya wakaazi wa Mlima Kenya na hiyo inamuuma," said Kabogo.
Kabogo made the sentiments on the same day that his party and Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria's Chama Cha Kazi Party said that they will no longer attend any Kenya Kwanza rallies on grounds that UDA politicians are allegedly given priority at the events while their members are being 'bullied' and gagged.
In a joint letter penned by Chama Cha Kazi Secretary General James Nage and his Tujibebe Party counterpart Wakili Gathii Irungu on Thursday, the two political outfits chronicled instances in which they were allegedly sidelined by UDA members on the campaign trail.
The two parties now want Kenya Kwanza principles to organize a meeting to deliberate on their complaints and chart a way forward.
