8-month-old baby among four killed in accident on Namanga-Kajiado road

Reports indicate that the accident occurred when a matatu belonging to NEKANA sacco was overtaking another car. 

Witnesses said the car hit a donkey and swerved off the road crashing into a ditch by the roadside.

Eyewitnesses say that the matatu driver, who is among those confirmed dead, hit the donkey as it was crossing the road.

Kajiado Central sub-county police commander Daudi Loronyokwe said that all the deceased died on the spot while several others are nursing serious injuries. 

They were taken Kajiado referral hospital where they continue to receive treatment.

Meanwhile the bodies of the deceased have been removed to the City mortuary in Nairobi.
