Kajiado residents urged to rear more donkeys

The Veterinary Association of Kenya and The Brooke Company have urged Kajiado residents to rear more donkeys.

The association which held a sensitization campaign in Kajiado County awarded farmers who had taken care of their donkeys up to standard, The farmers who had kept their Donkey to the standards won cheques of fifty thousand and two hundred thousand. The association said that the money was a motivational prize to help donkey owners look after their donkeys in a proper way.

On the other hand, the donkey owners cleaned Kajiado town as they support the ban of plastic bags in the country.

The Chairmen’s of the Kenya Veterinary Association, the Brooke have asked the farmers to be keen while treating their donkeys. They were asked to seek guidance from a qualified veterinary officer for proper medication.
