Kalonzo accuses Jubilee of ‘fixing’ Ngilu in corruption dealings
Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has accused the Jubilee administration of ‘fixing’ suspended Lands Cabinet secretary Charity Ngilu in the Karen land scam.
Musyoka says that the Jubilee government tactically planned and executed the Karen land saga with an aim of ending Ngilu’s political and professional dream.
Musyoka, a Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) co-principal, said that Jubilee was up to no good and challenged Ngilu to go back to CORD.
He was speaking at the Milimani Court where he had accompanied her when she was appearing to take plea over allegations of obstructing justice by hindering the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) officers from getting any information from her Ministry of Lands.
Ngilu was accuse alongside seven other persons and were released on a Ksh 3M bond and Ksh 1M cash bail each.
Mr Musyoka – who is the leader of Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) – said that the opposition was ready to receive her adding that they had warned against the move to join Jubilee.
“We had warned our sister (Ngilu) against joining the Jubilee coalition. We knew they were not up to any good,” said Musyoka.
“However, we are ready to listen to her and welcome her home. CORD is where she belongs.”
