KCSE students attack soldier in Isiolo

Three KCSE students from Isiolo Barracks Secondary School were Friday put in police custody, after they allegedly accosted and beat up a soldier.

The three students aged 20, 19 and 18 years, who are currently booked at the Isiolo Police Station, are said to have assaulted the female officer manning the 78 battalion main gate.

Confirming the incident, Isiolo County Commissioner George Natembeya said that the Form Four students tried to snatch the officer’s riffle before starting to halt insults at her and causing mayhem at the gate.

The cause of the students’ behavior is believed to be the officer’s involvement in arresting one of their colleague on Thursday over exam cheating.

They will be arraigned at Isiolo law court on Monday, November 27.
