KDF Discover Mpeketoni Gunmen Hide Out

Kenya Defence Forces have discovered a network of caves in Mokowe and Boni Forest in Lamu County believed to have been used by gunmen who attacked villagers in Mpeketoni and Pandanguo. Security personnel who conducted the latest swoop in the violence hit coastal belt stumbled upon the hideouts which had signs of human occupation including cooking utensils, flashlights and stocks of medicine. And as Evelyn Wambui reports, the swoop comes even as residents of Lamu and Tana River counties struggle to pick up the pieces following the devastating attacks in the area.
