Kenya Power announces delay in token deliveries via PayBill 888880

Kenya Power has announced a delay
in delivering tokens purchased through its M-Pesa PayBill number 888880.
In a statement on Saturday, the
power company did not provide an explanation for the delay but urged customers
to use alternative payment channels, such as banks.
Attempts by Citizen Digital to
purchase tokens via the PayBill number have resulted in a "transaction
failed" message from M-PESA.
“Our team is working to resolve
the issue affecting our Mpesa Paybill 888880,” said Kenya Power in the
statement.
Further, Kenya Power apologized
for the inconvenience and promised to provide an update once the issue is
resolved.
“We will issue an update once
this is concluded. We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience caused
and thank them for their patience.”
