Kenya Railways announces additional SGR trips this weekend

In a notice issued by the corporation, Kenya Railways announced that on Friday, an additional train would depart from Mombasa at 9:45 am, arrive in Voi at 11:20 am, spend approximately five minutes while passengers alight, and then proceed with the journey to Nairobi, arriving at 3:48 pm.
On Saturday, another train will depart from Nairobi at 9:45 am, make a 5-minute stopover in Voi and arrive in Mombasa at 3:36 pm.
Currently, the SGR provides three trips between Nairobi and Mombasa, with the journeys commencing at various times of the day.
Inter-country train service, which commences at 8;00 am, includes the traditional stopovers including Mtito Andei, Voi, Emali, Kibwezi and Mariakani.
Express train service commences at 3:00 pm in Nairobi, makes only one stopover in Voi before leaving for Mombasa.
The night train service commences at 10:00 pm and involves an express route to Mombasa, whereby passengers are expected to arrive at 3:35 am.
