Despite Kenya achieving significant economic growth and social prosperity over the years, the plight of the country’s street children has unfortunately remained more or less the same. According to the United Nation Children’s Fund (UNICEF) there were an estimated 250,000 and 300,000 children living and working on the streets of Kenya in 2007, with more than 60,000 of them in Nairobi alone. Many of them are forced to undergo untold hardships, rarely captured on camera.
