Kenyan woman arrested with Ksh.380 million worth of cocaine hidden in whisky bottles

The Kenyan passenger, who arrived via Addis Ababa, was travelling with the drugs craftily hidden in three whisky bottles in a dissolved form in order to fool the authorities.

The bottles, bearing the Black Label stickers, appear to show the cocaine in liquid, brownish form before the New Delhi Airport Customs authorities condensed it.

On their Twitter page, Delhi Customs revealed that the woman has been arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of India.

"On the basis of specific input, AirCustoms@IGIA has seized 2537 gms Cocaine concealed in 3 whiskey bottles valued at 38.055 Cr from a Kenyan woman pax who arrived via Addis Ababa. Pax has been arrested under NDPS Act, " they tweeted.

Five days prior, the same Delhi Customs tweeted that a Kenyan woman had been arrested ferrying a similar drug in a similar way - concealed in two Black Label bottles.

The woman also arrived in India via Addis Ababa. Her cocaine was worth approximately Ksh.130 million. 

"On the basis of profiling, AirCustoms@IGIA has seized 2 whiskey bottles having dissolved Cocaine from a Kenyan pax arrived from Addis Ababa," they tweeted.

"Approx value around 13 Cr, exact value will be ascertained after extraction under Court supervision. The pax has been arrested under NDPS Act."

It has not yet been made clear whether this is the same woman but the nature of crime, route of transit and manner of concealment appear to suggest it might be the same woman.
